Living in the desert calls for Dune Buggy ownership. This is the second one of these I’ve owned, I had one back in Nebraska in 2007, but living in Nebraska does not call for Dune Buggy ownership.
I’ve been working on and rebuilding this one since February 2026, and it’s come a long, long way! Here’s a few glamour shots and various progress shots.
It’s now fully operable, street legal, smog exempt, and a total blasto. There are endless desert roads to explore out here, and the odometer has been climbing.
Always down to work on nearly any sort of off-road buggy or vehicle with a VW engine or Honda/Predator/Clone 212cc.
